What is cold plasma?
Cold plasma is a state of ionized gas produced at low temperatures, and cold plasma therapy is one of the latest forms of physical therapy in veterinary medicine, enabling us to reduce or eliminate the use of drugs such as antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs for numerous diseases of the skin and musculoskeletal system. With the help of the PetCellPen® and special glass electrodes, cold plasma can be used in a targeted manner.
Cold plasma has a disinfecting effect without the pathogens being able to develop resistance. Even old wounds that have not made any progress in healing for some time can be treated successfully.
It has an inflammation-modulating effect and can also alleviate itching in allergic reactions.
By stimulating the body's own healing processes and blood circulation, cold plasma has an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect. Cold plasma thus helps acute injuries to ligaments, tendons and muscles to heal more quickly. In chronic musculoskeletal disorders, it helps to relieve pain and release muscular tension and blockages.
Cold plasma therapy can also be considered as a complementary treatment for a number of tumor diseases, as cold plasma can have damaging effects on tissue when used appropriately - as desired in this case.
It is therefore important that the treatment is carried out by an experienced vet.
